The initial purpose is to help fund the operations of the LSGH Adult Night High School which we had earlier designated as our beneficiary. In a previous meeting, a board of directors was elected and more concrete plans were drawn. Among them: how to raise P1M in three years (which is our target for the night school); there is also a plan to honor all our deceased batchmates with a memorial mass with their families and a permanent memorial at the LSGH chapel and as of last wednesday, two other activities were suggested to raise mo' money- quarterly golf tournaments and a "Back to the 70s Party" on December 5, 1997. As far as I know, we have already raised more than P100,000 in cash and pledges. We have also committed P1 million in 3 years for the Adult Night High School Foundation of LSGH. Letters have already been sent, and we are waiting for the formal reply. Our batch is considering other fund-raising activities to reach our goal. (Bro. Bernie)
In a recent LSGH CLASS '71 get-together at DAD'S Glorietta, all attendees
answered Brother Bernie Oca's call to support the Special Street Children School Project
of La Salle Greenhills.
And to flesh out this support your Board of Trustees and members decided to donate TWO
THOUSAND PESOS (P 2,000.00) each to fund the project.
The money collected shall be coursed through the LSGH CLASS '71 QUARTUS FOUNDATION.
Our goal is to raise P 300,000.00. Kindly inform Susan at (02)5238175 to 78 (Office of
Marin Martinez) when your contribution is ready for pick-up. Or deliver to 1725 M.
